i have bad luck ya'll so i took the day off today so i could go pay some bills and stuff so.......when i left this morning i got around i4 and saxon ands my temp was almost to 260.....so i let it cool down and drive up to the advance on enterprise! Well i search around a few part stores lookin for sensors and finally find them and spend 80$ on them!!! so i get home and put all this stuff in and it is still overheating(my cooling fan wont come on). so i hard wire it so it come ons when the ignition is on......it still gets around 210 but owell.......so about an hour ago im driving back home from the bank at providence and normandy and my blinker switch is reaching for the sky(it pointing up and the key is pointing to the floor   ) so i try to pull over to fix it but the truck wont turn off the key turns and locks the wheel but wont turn the truck off.. so im driving home slowly and the truck just dies and wont turn back on....... so we get to the point to tiw it to a buddies house and the guy towing it slams his truk in 2nd gear floors t and rips the bumper right out of the mounting holes   and i know it took alot to do that cuz ive been whinching myself out a few times with no problems......so now i have to go to ither deland u-pull it or lkq in daytona to get a colum that i hope has a key in it!!!

Aw man that just bites! Even if you find a column without a key, you can get just a lock cylinder with a key fairly inexpensively. Hope you can fix it soon. If you need an exploded view of the column, let me know.

hey guys so i have a question my truck is still overheating bad ive changed every cooling sensor i could find and i just go tthe water pump put in im going to -*test*-('") it in the morning! now if it still overheats could the clutch in the fan be causeing that???? or would i have to try and get tjhat and a new radiator!!

The fan clutch could cause OH problems if its going bad. You can move it back and fourth to see if the bearing is bad or not. You shouldn't get any front to back play. You mentioned you did the water pump, also check t-stat and radiator cap. A loose cap or one that isn't the correct pressure could cause Overheating, I think it should be a 14-16lb cap, if you can get to the radiator to see if there are any major differences in temp, example upper left corner is hot and the lower right corner is cool, then you could have a restriction in the flow in the radiator. Good luck with it, hope all works out.
