Trail Ride Announcement for Saturday June 23rd
This trail ride will be along maintained roads through beautiful sections of the Canaveral National Seashore. Use of 4-wheel drive is not required for any part of this trip. All stock Jeeps are welcome and encouraged to attend. This is a wildlife drive where you can expect to see a lots of water, birds and if were lucky a few alligators too. Date/Time/Location: Saturday June 23rd 9am at the corner of US 1 and West Halifax Ave. Also known as Maytown/Osteen road and US 1 in Oak Hill. The Plan: Leave the parking lot at 9:30 and head south on US 1 for a short distance where we will turn onto a raised gravel/shell roadbed. Then continue south along the Indian River until we get to the Haulover Canal. After a short break we will head south on Kennedy Parkway until we will pick up a second wildlife drive. When this road ends we will turn out on the Play Linda beach access road and cruise back to Oak Hill on the Kennedy Parkway. Anyone that wants to leave the group and go to into Titusville or out to Playlinda Beach is welcome to do so. The loop from Oak Hill to the edge of the Kennedy Space Center and back is approximately 50 miles long and should take no less than 4 hours to complete. Once we leave Oak Hill there are no gas stations or stores so please be prepared. Recommended items: Water & snacks for everyone in your vehicle. Suntan Lotion Bug Spray Camera

We had the best day exploring. I saw a lot of birds, alligators, turtles and other wildlife. Saw some BIG gators. :) This will be a good ride esspecially for stock jeeps. Nothing extreme but lots of fun.

I will be going on this one now that im back home again! Sorry for missing everything else.

Arty, Sorry to miss this, but I will be out of town this next week, going to Denver for 1 week for a training class on a new software/digitizer board we got at work... Sounds like fun though, and I am sorry that we won't be there, have fun and be safe... Hector

there has been an interest in meeting at the gas station across from skips boot in osteen to ride together. anyone want to set a time to meet and still get to Maytown/Osteen road and US 1 in Oak Hill in time? looking forward to it :D

That is a great place to meet and it’s on the way from my house! It's about 23 miles From Osteen/Skips to Oak Hill, so it will take about 40 min to get a group over. If any one wants to ride over with me, I plan to leave the Skips/Gas station by 8:15. Don’t worry if your running late, we’ll still be waiting in Oak Hill for you (till 930).
